Marriott Bonvoy
Overview
Marriott is a renowned global leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to providing exceptional experiences to travelers around the world.
My Role
I was a UX/UI designer on the project, working with another UX designer, creative director, and copywriter to translate the existing designs into a new component system.
Design Process
We started by assessing the existing experience and making observations about what needed to be addressed in addition to migrating content to the new component system.
It wasn't easy to distinguish loyalty section content from partner content that
lead off-site and few components were optimized for content scanning. With these insights in mind, the sketching and ideating began. Sketching before designing is an important part of my process—they’re speedy and a helpful discussion tool for the early on stage.
In tandem with beginning the early stages of design, we worked as a team to assess the existing navigation and new proposed structure for anonymous and signed in users.
I did the design execution of the web and mobile screens, including creating new proposed components for review with the client brand team who was managing the design system. Screen designs were done in collaboration with a copywriter to meet brand and component limitations.
